Sampler Game Board

This is a new project I am working on. It is called Sampler Game Board by The Drawn Thread. There are houses turned one direction and motifs turned the other direction. It is a big piece so will take me a while to complete but I think it is going to be a great piece to work on. I am stitching it on a 28 ct. Cashel linen and the color is called Dirty and that is the way it looks.
Heading out in a minute to go have some blood work done. This is my least favorite thing to do so not looking forward to my morning.
Spring is here in Central Texas though and I can look at the Red Bud trees and Bradford Pears on my way as they have sprouted their blooms and are so pretty.

Ornament or Pinkeep

Found this little design in an old cross stitch magazine and thought it would make a great ornament or a pinkeep. I am thinking I might attempt to make a pinkeep for a gift. I am using a variegated DMC #103. I like the effect of the variegated and this design looks kind of like delft.
I joined a Christmas Ornament SAL and want to get started on my ornament for that. I am thinking I will stitch one of the JBW designs of the Christmas tree with motifs. I find them so interesting with all the little hidden shapes in the design. Is this a French thing? I love all the French sites and blogs that I have visited such beautiful samplers and designs.

Finished Acorns and Pines by LHN

I told you all I could do it and I finished it all up tonight by 8pm. It was such a fun stitch I enjoyed every minute of it.
I received my chart today for the Sampler Gameboard by Drawn Thread so will be starting that soon and Old West a new design by LHN which I want to start soon also.

Acorns and Pines Progress

This is what I have done so far on my Acorns and Pines piece by LHN. I am really enjoying doing this cute little chart. I noticed it was the first chart in the simple sampler charts. It really is a fast stitch I just don't have the time except in the evenings.
Beautiful day here in Texas today with the sun shining and temperatures in the 60's.
I should have this done tonight then I will be moving on to a few others I want to do.

I am currently working on Acorns and Pines by LHN. I just love this little piece it is fast and will have acorns on it and I just love anything with acorns. I am trying to get this one done before my new charts and fabrics arrive when I will be tempted to start something new.
Had a lovely day on Tuesday having 8 of my quilting friends over for sewing and having lunch. I made the most delicious dessert and it was so easy. I was going to take a picture of it but forgot. I hope to have a recipe section as soon as I figure that out.
It is a cloudy Wednesday here and I noticed in my Wednesday box I have a project there that I need to do a little work on today so will pull it and out and see if I can put do a little applique on it. It was a block of the month I ordered a long time ago and each block has a costume character with Halloween designs. I will keep you up to date on that one too.
Have a great stitching day.

Monday Stitching

Decided I wanted to start a blog so here goes.
Beautiful day here in Central Texas and looks like Spring is here. I want to learn how to post pictures of where I live and of my WIP of my stitching.
Figured out how to post a picture and this is a finish I did last night. This kit chart was designed and donated by Diane Williams of Little House Needleworks, the thread was donated by Crescent Colors, and Elegant Stitches donated the fabric. The procedes for the kit went to breast cancer awareness.
